Maryland Geological Survey to Hold Maryland Mapping Advisory Committee Meeting on September 23, 2014

The annual Maryland Mapping Advisory Committee Meeting will be held Monday September 23rd from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at the Maryland Geological Survey (MGS) located at 2300 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD.

The Committee will review the status of mapping efforts underway at MGS. We will also present our planned submission for the upcoming federally supported USGS STATEMAP program (http://ncgmp.usgs.gov/about/statemap.html). We propose doubling our STATEMAP program efforts so our proposed scope of work is doubled from previous years. A vote by Advisory Committee members to accept this proposal will be held at the meeting.

This is the first year that MGS is subject to the Maryland Open Meetings Act (http://www.oag.state.md.us/Opengov/Openmeetings/) for this meeting. As such, the meeting will be open to the public and the minutes will be published.
