MGS participates in a forum on sustainability of groundwater resources in Maryland

The Maryland Geological Survey was a guest at a public forum on groundwater sustainability sponsored by the Chesapeake Environmental Protection Association. The informational meeting entitled "About the Future Supply of Drinking Water in Maryland" was held on May 30th at the Calvary United Methodist Church (301 Rowe Blvd.) in Annapolis, Maryland. The forum included David Bolton, MGS Hydrogeology and Hydrology Program Chief, John Grace, Water Supply Program, Maryland Department of the Environment, and Dr. Al Tucker, President, Chesapeake Environmental Protection Association. The forum addressed what we do and don't know about groundwater resources in Maryland, and needs for management of sustainable groundwater supplies, among other topics.
